How to Support Text Amendment for Agricultural Experiences in Barrington Hills

In developing our current proposal, we carefully considered the perspectives shared during the recent hearing, including those expressed by board members and the written comments from residents. In response, we have thoroughly detailed each aspect of the proposal and refined its scope to address the specific concerns raised. Additionally, we collaborated with the Illinois and Cook County Farm Bureaus to ensure our proposal adheres to all relevant standards and supports local agricultural practices.

When sharing your thoughts in letter form or providing public comments, we encourage you to highlight the strengths of the proposal itself rather than focusing on any single farm. In the previous hearing, comments/ letters centered around Little Ducky Flower Farm allowed some to divert the discussion away from the wider benefits of the amendment. By emphasizing the positive impacts of seasonal agricultural experiences for the entire community, we can keep the conversation on track and help the board recognize the broad advantages this proposal offers to Barrington Hills.
